Words and Music by John Shough Make With Me A Holiday Just another sticky summer The fruit was rotting on the vine All out of luck, oh what a bummer So hang with me and kill some time I know you got to go tomorrow That only leaves us with tonight With so little time to borrow Let’s make the most of yours and mine Mine, mine, mine… Please make with me a holiday Please stay with me on this day Every year this way Play with me on this day, our holiday Stay with me on lovers’ day Seasons change, the pages turning And the fruit grows in the vine Fashions changing, passions burning Every year, same place same time It’s really not a tragic story There’s surly sadder still to find A romantic allegory One that’s made of yours and mine Mine, mine, mine… Please make with me a holiday Please stay with me on our new day Every year this way Play with me on our new day, our holiday Stay with me on lovers’ day… Make with a holiday, our new day…

Words and Music by John Shough Don’t Build A Wall I can see you, almost reach you I can hear your call Oh to know you, get to show you Everything and all Don’t build a wall Don’t build a wall So come on over, share the clover Green grass, leaves in fall Get to know me, get to show me Everything and all Don’t build a wall Don’t build a wall

Words and Music by John Shough Followed You Down A taste so sweet but with a tang Like lemonade with summer honey I took you home so unashamed At the end of the day it seems so funny I followed you down I followed you down I followed you down To where you’re going It slipped away like the end of the day Or lemonade with summer honey I followed you down I followed you down I followed you down To where you’re going...

Take A Bow 04:01
Words and Music by John Shough Take A Bow Take a bow, take a bow Stand up for you’ve earned it today Take a bow, take a bow You’re on your way Take a bow, take a bow Never give up now, you know what to do Take a bow, take a bow Stars call out for you, call out for you Divide, begin again To thwart the sticks and stones Thrive, do win again As you stand, take your bow Take a bow, take a bow When you’re sure and when you’re in doubt Take a bow, take a bow Within or without Take a bow, take a bow For today you do what you please Take a bow, take a bow Get off your knees, get off your knees Fight, believe again Brave the rocky route Decide, conceive again As you plan, take your bow Take a bow, take a bow Love to live and live to love Take a bow, take a bow To god above Take a bow, take a bow Take a bow, take a bow

Words and Music by John Shough Up On A Fence How do you feel Like I’m out of place Tell me what’s the deal With the human race Tell me what’s real I really couldn’t but I know what’s fake Up on a fence, it’s my best defense Don’t make me pick a side It’s my favorite place to hide Up on a fence I have no regrets, no forgives-no forgets Nothing bothers me Its my favorite place to be Up on a fence Shout it out loud No that’s way to bold Own it so proud That sounds way too cold A shadow of doubt Is really all it ever takes Up on a fence…

Swear To God 03:50
Words and Music by John Shough Swear To God Is anybody home, we’re down here all alone I hear you’re in demand, when things are out of hand We’re only here for a lifetime (I swear to god) How can you throw me a lifeline Just like the summer breeze, made a fool out of me Just like the cold wind blows, and my garden grows And we’ll figure it out, through the haze and the doubt Just like the cold wind blows, and my garden grows We’re only here for a lifetime (I swear to god) How can you throw me a lifeline (I swear to god) Just like the summer breeze, made a fool out of me Just like the cold wind blows, and my garden grows We’ll all figure it out, through all the haze and the doubt Just like the cold wind blows, and my garden grows We’re only here for a lifetime (I swear to god) How can you show me a lifeline (I swear to god) We’re only here for a lifetime...

Words and Music by John Shough Somewhere Down The Road Stuck in the struggle of the urban jungle Shoving and pushing without any cushion Do what you please hope nobody sees Scraped knees and elbows Cities on mountains with large flowing fountains Paused on fast forward ever move toward Things all about us that do fine without us One would only hope While you were sleeping they sent out a beeping Beware of fair weather sooner than later You ought to get to it if you want to get through it Somewhere down the road Cities on mountains with large flowing fountains All await for you and how they adore you Paused on fast forward ever move toward Somewhere down the road Paused on fast forward ever move toward Cities on mountains with large flowing fountains Stuck in the struggle of the urban jungle No one ever knows

On Trial 03:37
Words and Music by John Shough On Trial All washed up on the rocky shallows Waiting it out, deep in the shadows Creep in the night, past the dingy gallows Where the frozen ghosts would host anyone who follows We’re on trial… The sun came up in a place of darkness Where the heartless feared the good that feared the harmless Tepid minds and lukewarm progress The daughters feared the fathers who feared the heartless We’re on trial…
